These salt lamps can be used as a gentle heat diffuser. To use:

- Switch the lamp on and allow it to warm up

- Add 2-3 drops only of essential oil to the flat top

- Enjoy the aroma as the warmth gently diffuses the oil

- Wipe the top before turning the lamp off

Only a small amount of oil is needed. Adding more does not improve diffusion and may cause oil to run down the sides.
What is Himalayan salt?

These salt lamps are made from natural Himalayan crystal salt, formed over millions of years and mined from ancient salt deposits in the Himalayan region.

Each lamp is unique in shape and colour, ranging from warm pink tones to softer white crystal, depending on natural mineral content. When lit, the lamp produces a gentle, ambient glow that many people enjoy as part of a calm, relaxed home environment.

What are salt lamps commonly used for?

Salt lamps are often chosen for soft, atmospheric lighting, creating a calming or cosy feel in a room, complementing mindfulness, relaxation, or aromatherapy rituals and adding warmth to bedrooms, living spaces, or therapy rooms.

Salt lamps are often associated with the idea of negative ions, a concept frequently mentioned in wellness and alternative health spaces. While this idea is widely discussed, it has not been scientifically proven in relation to domestic salt lamps.
Himalayan salt is a natural material and will behave slightly differently from conventional lamps. Himalayan salt will naturally attract moisture from the air and may occasionally sweat. This is normal.

To minimise this and care for your lamp:

- Keep it switched on regularly

- Wipe the surface occasionally with a dry cloth if needed

- Place the lamp on a protective mat or coaster to protect furniture

- Avoid placing in very damp areas such as bathrooms and windowsills

- Wipe the surface when finished using

After a while, some essential oils may leave a sticky residue on the surface. If this occurs, allow the lamp to cool, wipe gently with a barely damp cloth, dry immediately, and switch the lamp back on to dry out any remaining moisture. Each lamp will change subtly over time, this is part of its natural character.
